SDP Buffalo Ranch Guest Liability Waiver and Release Agreement

This is a legally binding document. By signing below, you agree to the following terms and assume certain risks associated with equine activities and visiting SDP Buffalo Ranch.

1. Acknowledgment of Inherent Risks

I understand that there are inherent risks associated with equine activities, including but not limited to animal behavior that may be unpredictable, hazards from natural terrain, collisions, and the potential for injury from handling, riding, or interacting with horses. I accept these risks as part of the experience offered at SDP Buffalo Ranch.

2. Assumption of Risk and Waiver of Liability

I hereby release and hold harmless SDP Buffalo Ranch, its owners, employees, and affiliated parties from any liability for injuries, death, or damages that may occur as a result of my presence on the property or my participation in any activities. I acknowledge that I am voluntarily assuming all risks and responsibilities for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during my stay or participation in activities.

3. Release from Liability for Specific Activities

I understand that certain activities, including horseback riding, working with a cutting horse, and fishing, are inherently risky. I agree to follow all provided instructions, wear any required safety equipment, and stay within supervised areas designated by ranch staff. I acknowledge that I must stay out of horse barns, stables, and other restricted areas unless under direct supervision.

4. Compliance with Ranch Policies

I agree to follow all ranch rules and instructions provided by SDP Buffalo Ranch staff. I understand that failure to adhere to ranch policies may result in removal from the premises without refund.

5. Medical Authorization

In the event of an injury, I authorize SDP Buffalo Ranch and its staff to obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf, and I agree to bear all associated costs.

6. Texas Equine Activity Limitation of Liability Act

I understand that Texas law (Chapter 87, Civil Practice and Remedies Code) provides certain limitations of liability to equine professionals for injuries resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities. I acknowledge this protection and agree that this waiver complies with the requirements of Texas law.

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and voluntarily agree to the terms of this waiver. I am of legal age and fully capable of executing this waiver on my behalf or on behalf of my minor dependents.
